    I'm Sarah Mary Jacob

    I am a Biomedical - Mechanical Engineer, with experience in research, design, and prototyping. I enjoy working with CAD, circuit design, and product design; I also enjoy tinkering with micro-contollers and computers. I enjoy learning about the human body, and aim to develop technology to improve the quality of life.

    In my time off, I enjoy learning languages, biking, playing frisbee, and football; and spending time with my friends, family, and pets.

Design of systems and equipment used to reduce time and effort required during construction of buildings.

Tableform design and placement for construction and maintenance of buildings.

Researcher- Ghent University Global Campus
January 2019- April 2020

Developed a prototype to automatically gauge the lengths of coleoptiles growing in the dark; without destruction of the plants.

Created a webapp that gauges the parameters of seedlings an coleoptiles, when the user uploads an image of the same.

Both projects were for the Lab of Plant Growth Analysis; and automation of the processes has helped increase researcher productivity.

Designing and prototyping of a wearable PPG meter to check the noise reduction performance of orange and green lights from multiple sources. Multiple sources ensure constant LED contact with the skin; orange and green lights have shorter path lengths and comparitively lower melanin interferance

Worked to design and implement a smart farm system that uses solar panels to automatically harvest sunlight not needed by plants, thus doubling land output. This was done considering the dire need for renewable energy, yet taking into account the lack of land area available, given the increasing population.
